One Step Closer to publishing Coolie with a Degree
📞 It is a journey that started sometime in March 2023 with a phone call to a friend and fellow writer Alexandra Wong, who was various enough to edit the book.
💬 Then sometime this year, a LinkedIn reach-out to Adrian Kok from Kanyin Books who helped me design and print the book
👏 Both have done an outstanding job, and now, it’s time to print and sell the book.
📖 Coolie with a Degree is a book of short stories about life, my dad's life, my life and career, and other people's lives. It includes nostalgic memories of being Malaysian, with some serious stories. Some will make you laugh, others will make you nostalgic, and maybe a few will even make you cry.

💝 All profits from the sales of the book will be donated to three organizations serving educational needs.
🏫 The first is StXaviersInstitution Penang, my alma mater, where I studied from grade one to high school. My principles, pride, and knack for writing were sharpened and refined in the school as a writer for the Xavierian Newsletter under the pseudonym PreuxChevalier.
👩🏫 The second is FugeeSchool KualaLumpur, a school for refugees that strives to ignite a passion for learning and growth in every child. No child left behind.
🏠 The third is BerkatChildrensHome in JohorBahru, an orphanage dedicated to creating a nurturing and familial environment. This home is close to my heart as my former IT division and I conducted our sustainable social activities with them in the past.
